Friendly, conscientious Hayflower and her excentric, lively little sister Quiltshoe are best friends and spend all their time together. A change is about to happen: In a week, Hayflower is going to start school. There are big things going on inside both of the girls' minds. Who ist going to do the household chores in the family when mother's little helper Hayflower won't be there? Who is going to clean and do the dishes? Who is going to play with Quiltshoe? Mother wants to start with work again. And their father is only interested in the potato, his life-long obejct of study. There is only one thing that can. Hayflower herself has to change!
